As part of our community out reach, Throggs Neck Kiwanis participated in a baby shower event at Albert Einstein hospital in May 2019. Our club donated many baby items to the event. The baby shower was held to assist impoverished pregnant women in need of assistance prior to the delivery of their babies.
This was the second baby shower that our club hosted. We celebrated our first baby shower for needy pregnant women in 2018 at the Ice House restaurant in the Bronx. It was a great success and baskets of baby supplies were donated and brought to Albert Einstein Hospital. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic this event has been suspended. Hopefully we can resume this outreach at some point in the future.
